About Kankrej
One of India's most powerful breeds, native to the Rann of Kutch. Striking silver-grey coat and enormous lyrate horns. Kankrej bullocks powered ancient Indus Valley trade routes. Exported to Brazil where it became the ancestor of the Nelore - now the world's most numerous beef breed.
