About Malnad Gidda
India's smallest indigenous cattle breed, found in the Western Ghats forests of Karnataka (Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru). Standing just 90-100cm. Adapted to dense forest terrain and minimal nutrition. High fat content milk despite small yield. Critically rare - fewer than 5,000 remain.
