The world's second smallest cattle breed, standing just 70-90cm. Native to Chittoor district, Punganur cows produce milk with the highest fat content of any Indian breed - 8% or more. Sacred significance in local culture; traditionally kept in temples. Critically rare - fewer than 2,000 registered.
